African Sapo Exfoliating Cloth
African Sapo Exfoliating Cloth
I’m not sure any of you had previously heard about the Sapo, but I myself had not. I was using a regular Body Puff Sponge (not to be confused with an actual Loofah) that I got at Target, minding my unexfoliated business.
But then, our Sister Awesomely Luvvie Ajayi Jones, put us on. First, I must say that video/post to me EPIC and a Godsend. And much like Sister Luvvie, I also have a plethora of exfoliating, moisturizing and cleansing products at home. But what I did NOT have was a Sapo….so I immediately ordered one. I was one of the lucky ones who was able to get one before Sis sold out. I’ve never turned back.
So, for those that missed Sister Luvvie’s post (it’s on FB from July 2021) the SAPO also known as an African exfoliating net or cloth provides a gentle yet effective way to slough off dead skin cells, unclog pores, promote cell turnover, but what many of us really want is to simply exfoliate.
Using a Sapo has a range of benefits including smoother, brighter even toned skin since it aids in improving circulation and removing impurities without causing irritation or damage. Its length and design allow you to access previously hard to reach areas, including your back, making it a versatile and practical addition to your skincare routine. Additionally, exfoliation can also help to improve the effectiveness of our other skincare products, as it helps to remove the buildup of dead skin cells and other impurities that can prevent them from penetrating the skin.
HOW TO USE: Wet your body then apply soap to a moist sponge. Later your body as usual with either liquid or bar soap. Use gently in sensitive areas. Suitable for daily use. Rinse well when finished and hang to dry.
*Dries faster than a typical sponge and prevents the accumulation and breeding of bacteria.
*Serves well as an exfoliator.
*Improves blood circulation.
*Can be used for 2 years+ without any damage.
LENGTH:
Nets are handmade so the length may vary, but the material is stretchable.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
MACHINE WASH BEFORE FIRST USE.
Does not need to be washed frequently but can be washed weekly in the washing machine or hand washed. Hang to dry.
MATERIAL: 100% Nylon
Pairs well with ANY of the bar soaps and creates amazing lather! Happy Showering 😊
